The Biomass Research and Development (BR&D) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) holds four meetings per year (one per quarter). At each meeting, the BR&D TAC is updated on the biomass R&D activities from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in addition to hearing from other biomass stakeholders including federal agencies, industry, and non-governmental organizations. The TAC uses the information from these presentations, along with their own expertise, to help craft recommendations on the direction of biomass R&D at the federal level.
